Oracle 11g will be introduced for Linux and Microsoft Windows in 2007, support for Oracle 11.2.04 will end December 31, 2018. This is a reason for many companies to upgrade to Oracle Database 12c. This new version was released by Oracle five years later in 2013. Oracle 12c is bug free and makes more effective use of server resources through data caching leading to better performance.
