Proud: DBA.nl receives ISO 27001 certification

As database experts, DBA.nl’s DBA staff regularly deal with privacy-sensitive information. In order to serve our customers well and to be able to do our work, we have access to data. If you work with (privacy) sensitive information within a customer’s environment, you want to be sure that the security of your own organization is in order. We recently received that assurance in the form of an ISO 27001 certificate.

ISO 27001 certificate

ISO 27001 is the international standard for Information Security Management System (ISMS). This standard specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, executing, monitoring, assessing, maintaining and improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS). In June 2019 an audit was carried out by an external party using, among other things, penetration tests. DBA.nl has been checked against a list of requirements and standards in the field of information security. As a result of these tests, the external experts concluded that the security of DBA.nl is in good order. With the certification that we have now received, DBA.nl can demonstrate this and state with certainty that it meets all requirements in the field of information security.

Since the start of DBA.nl, we have taken the discreet handling of information in our customers’ database systems very seriously. Our colleagues are continuously working on the security of procedures and can always provide a recent VOG if desired. Although the certification did not come as a surprise, we are very proud that we have now also received confirmation of this by means of a certification. Now we can’t just tell you that your information is safe at DBA.nl; we can now show it too!
